TYSON ANNOUNCES CHICKEN NUGGET RECALL

TYSON FOODS IS RECALLING APPROXIMATELY 29,819 POUNDS OF FULLY COOKED, BREADED, SHAPED CHICKEN PATTY PRODUCT THAT MAY BE CONTAMINATED WITH SMALL PIECES OF METAL.

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE’S FOOD SAFETY AND INSPECTION SERVICE SAYS THE FROZEN CHICKEN PATTIES WERE PRODUCED ON SEPTEMBER 5TH AND ARE IN 29-OUNCE PLASTIC BAG PACKAGES LABLED “TYSON FULLY COOKED FUN NUGGETS BREADED SHAPED CHICKEN PATTIES”

THE PACKAGES HAVE A BEST IF USED BY DATE OF SEPTEMBER 4, OF 2024.

THE PROBLEM WAS DISCOVERED AFTER TYSON NOTIFIED THE USDA THAT IT HAD RECEIVED CONSUMER COMPLAINTS REPORTING SMALL METAL PIECES IN THE CHICKEN PATTY PRODUCT.

THERE HAS BEEN ONE REPORTED MINOR ORAL INJURY ASSOCIATED WITH CONSUMPTION OF THE PRODUCT.

CONSUMERS ARE URGED NOT TO CONSUME THE CHICKEN PATTY PRODUCT AND THROW THEM AWAY OR RETURN THEM TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE.

THE PRODUCT BEARS ESTABLISHMENT NUMBER “P-7211” LOCATED ON THE BACK ON THE PACKAGE.
