TWIN BROTHERS IDENTIFIED AS CARJACKING & BURGLARY SUSPECTS

TWO SUSPECTS ARE IN CUSTODY IN SIOUX CITY AFTER A CARJACKING THURSDAY NIGHT IN SIOUX FALLS.

SGT. JEREMY MCCLURE OF THE SIOUX CITY POLICE SAYS THE STOLEN VEHICLE WAS SPOTTED IN SIOUX CITY AROUND NOON FRIDAY:

THAT SUSPECT, 19-YEAR-OLD CHASE VAN HOFWEGEN OF SIOUX CITY, IS CHARGED WITH FIRST AND SECOND DEGREE THEFT AND ELUDING.

MCCLURE SAYS THE SECOND CARJACKING SUSPECT WAS LOCATED AT 5309 HIGHWAY 75 NORTH, LOT 320 WHERE POLICE HAD SERVED A SEARCH WARRANT.

19-YEAR-OLD CHANCE VONHOFWEGEN, TWIN BROTHER OF THE FIRST SUSPECT, IS CHARGED WITH FIRST AND SECOND DEGREE THEFT.

THE BROTHERS ARE ALSO SUSPECTS IN THE BURGLARY OF THE SELECT MART AT 4103 FLOYD BOULEVARD ON MARCH 29TH.

AROUND $17,000 OF PROPERTY ALLEGEDLY STOLEN FROM SELECT MART WAS LOCATED AT THE VANHOFWEGEN RESIDENCE.

BOTH SUSPECTS ARE BEING HELD IN THE WOODBURY COUNTY JAIL..
