DEMOLITION IS PROGRESSING ON THE GIANT WATER TANK STRUCTURE IN GRANDVIEW PARK.
THE CONTRACTOR BEGAN TAKING DOWN THE CENTURY OLD TANKS IN THE LAST WEEK.
ALSO PART OF THE HISTORY ARE THE MURALS DEPICTING SATURDAY IN THE PARK SCENES THAT ARE BEING LOST IN THE DEMOLITION.
THE AREA IS FENCED OFF FOR THE PUBLIC’S SAFETY.
TRUCKS ARE HAULING THE DEBRIS FROM THE PARK ONTO 24TH STREET, THEN DOUGLAS TO STONE PARK BOULEVARD, HAMILTON BOULEVARD, OUTER BELT DRIVE NORTH AND ONTO HIGHWAY 75.
THE WORK IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH SEPTEMBER.
