LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WERE KEPT BUSY WEDNESDAY NIGHT DURING A TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT EFFORT THROUGHOUT WOODBURY COUNTY.

146 CITATIONS AND 188 WARNINGS WERE ISSUED DURING THE ST. PATRICK’S NIGHT EFFORT BY THE IOWA STATE PATROL, WOODBURY COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES AND SIOUX CITY POLICE.

THE ARRESTS INCLUDED 4 DRIVERS FOR O-W-I WITH TWO PURSUITS RESULTING IN THREE ARRESTS INCLUDING THE RECOVERY OF A FIREARM.

FOUR PEOPLE STOPPED HAD OUTSTANDING WARRANTS.

THE CITATIONS ISSUED INCLUDED 33 SEAT BELT OR CHILD RESTRAINT VIOLATIONS, 20 FOR NO DRIVER’S LICENSE, 11 DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED, 5 STOP SIGN VIOLATIONS, 14 FOR NO INSURANCE AND 10 FOR INVALID REGISTRATION.

ONE DRIVER WAS CITED FOR TEXTING WHILE DRIVING.
