VERMILLION CONSIDERS REPLACING TWO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

THE VERMILLION, SOUTH DAKOTA SCHOOL BOARD IS CONSIDERING A MAJOR BUILDING PLAN.

SUPERINTENDENT DAMON ALVEY SAYS IT INVOLVES REPLACING TWO AGING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUILDINGS:

ALVEY1 OC……THE MIDDLE SCHOOL :19

ALVEY SAYS THE DISTRICT WOULD COMBINE WHAT THEY HAVE IN THE NEW LOCATION:

ALVEY2 OC….HAD THERE. :15

THE PROJECT WOULD INCLUDE TWO AUXILLIARY GYMS, A MUSIC ROOM AND A COMMONS AREA.

ALVEY SAYS THEY HAVE SOME PRELIMINARY COST ESTIMATES;

ALVEY3 OC…..THIS FALL. :17

A PUBLIC MEETING TO EXPLAIN THE PLAN WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT 7PM AT JOLLEY ELEMENTARY WITH A SECOND PUBLIC MEETING MAY 12TH AT AUSTIN ELEMENTARY.
