FOLLOWING THREE DAYS OF JURY SELECTION AT A SOUTH SIOUX CITY HOTEL, THE FIRST DEGREE MURDER TRIAL OF 44-YEAR-OLD JASON JONES OF LAUREL, NEBRASKA WILL BEGIN THIS (THURSDAY) MORNING IN DAKOTA COUNTY DISTRICT COURT IN DAKOTA CITY.
JONES IS CHARGED WITH FOUR COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER, TWO COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE ARSON AND FOUR COUNTS OF USE OF A FIREARM TO COMMIT A FELONY.IN THE MURDERS OF FOUR LAUREL, NEBRASKA RESIDENTS IN 2022.
HE HAS PLEADED NOT GUILTY IN THE DEATHS OF 53-YEAR-OLD MICHELE EBELING, 86-YEAR-OLD GENE TWIFORD, 85-YEAR-OLD JANET TWIFORD AND 55-YEAR-OLD DANA TWIFORD AT TWO HOMES IN LAUREL AND THEN SETTING FIRE TO THOSE HOMES ON AUGUST 4TH IN 2022.
