SUSPECT IN CUSTODY CHARGED WITH 2ND DEGREE MURDER-UPDATE

A SIOUX CITY MAN IS IN CUSTODY CHARGED WITH MURDER IN THE ALLEGED SHOOTING DEATH OF HIS ROOMMATE.

52-YEAR-OLD ROBERT BUEL WAS BOOKED INTO THE WOODBURY COUNTY JAIL ON A CHARGE OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER FOLLOWING A SHOOTING SUNDAY MORNING IN SIOUX CITY.

POLICE RESPONDED TO THE CALL IN THE 200 BLOCK OF 21ST STREET AROUND 9:30 A.M. AND FOUND 41-YEAR-OLD JASON LAFFERTY WHO HAD BEEN SHOT AND DIED FROM HIS INJURIES.

DETECTIVES SAY LAFFERTY AND BUEL WERE ARGUING AND WENT INTO THEIR GARAGE WHERE BUEL ALLEGEDLY SHOT LAFFERTY WITH A HANDGUN.

POLICE SAY BUEL WAS ALSO ARMED WITH A SHOTGUN.

ONE PERSON IS DEAD AND ANOTHER IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING A SHOOTING SUNDAY MORNING IN SIOUX CITY.

SIOUX CITY POLICE RESPONDED TO THE CALL IN THE 200 BLOCK OF 21STREET AROUND 9:30 A.M. SUNDAY.

FEW DETAILS ABOUT THE INCIDENT HAVE BEEN RELEASED BUT A 52-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT NAMED ROBERT BUEL WAS BOOKED INTO THE WOODBURY COUNTY JAIL EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON ON A CHARGE OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER.

THE NAME OF THE DECEASED HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED.
