AKRON TEEN NAMED IOWA STATE FAIR QUEEN

AN AKRON, IOWA TEEN IS THIS YEAR’S QUEEN OF THE IOWA STATE FAIR.
18-YEAR-OLD MCKENNA HENRICH OF PLYMOUTH COUNTY WAS CROWNED AS THE 2021 FAIR QUEEN SATURDAY.

THE DAUGHTER OF BRAD AND MICHELLE HENRICH OF AKRON WAS CHOSEN OUT OF THE 101 CONTESTANTS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEAR’S COMPETITION.

EACH ENTRANT HAD BEEN CROWNED QUEEN OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTY FAIRS PRIOR TO THE STATE FAIR.

MCKENNA RECEIVES A $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE BRANSTAD-REYNOLDS TRUST ALONG WITH A $3,000 SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE IOWA STATE FAIR IN ADDITION TO HER CROWN, SASH AND TROPHY.

SHE ALSO WON A FLORAL BOUQUET, A $600 GIFT CARD TO JORDAN CREEK MALL, A PAIR OF DIAMOND EARRINGS, COWBOY BOOTS AND AN IOWA STATE FAIR BRICK FROM THE IOWA STATE FAIR BLUE RIBBON FOUNDATION.
