SOUTH DAKOTA BOARD OF REGENTS ENDS MASK PROTOCOL ON MAY 10TH

THE SOUTH DAKOTA BOARD OF REGENTS HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE PROTOCOL REQUIRING FACE COVERINGS IN ALL PUBLIC INDOOR SPACES AT USD, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE AND OTHER STATE CAMPUSES WILL END. STARTING MAY 10TH.

A STATEMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DAKOTA IN VERMILLION SAYS THEY ARE NOW IN A POSITION TO MOVE TOWARD NORMAL FALL OPERATIONS AS EXPECTED.

NEXT MONDAY MASKS WILL BE OPTIONAL IN INDOOR FACILITIES AND PHYSICAL DISTANCING EXPECTATIONS WILL BE LIFTED.

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT WILL BEGIN WORKING TO REMOVE TEMPORARY INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WAS PUT IN PLACE LAST SUMMER.

UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS ENCOURAGE STUDENTS AND STAFF TO CONTINUE PRACTICING GENERAL SAFETY BEHAVIORS SUCH AS STAYING HOME IF YOU ARE SICK AND WASHING YOUR HANDS AND TO GET VACCINATED IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO ALREADY.
