ONE MAN DEAD, SUSPECT IN CUSTODY AFTER WESTSIDE SHOOTING

ONE MAN IS DEAD AND A 17-YEAR-OLD MALE SUSPECT IS IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING A SHOOTING EARLY SATURDAY OUTSIDE OF A WESTSIDE BAR.

SIOUX CITY POLICE FOUND THE VICTIM LYING IN THE STREET AROUND 1AM OUTSIDE OF UNCLE DAVE’S BAR 1427 W. 3RD STREET.

POLICE SAY THE VICTIM HAD BEEN SHOT ONCE AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL WHERE HE DIED FROM HIS INJURIES.

POLICE LOCATED THE ARMED SUSPECT AROUND 4:30AM IN THE 1100 BLOCK OF W. 21ST STREET AND ARRESTED THE 17-YEAR-OLD JUVENILE MALE.

HE WAS BOOKED FOR FIRST DEGREE MURDER, WILLFUL INJURY, FELONY ASSAULT AND GOING ARMED WITH INTENT.

THE NAMES OF THE VICTIM AND THE SUSPECT HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED.
