SIOUX CITY POLICE CONFIRM THAT THE DEATHS OF TWO MORNINGSIDE RESIDENTS FOUND IN THEIR HOME THURSDAY WAS AN APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE.

POLICE SAY 52- YEAR-OLD KELLI SOCKNAT AND 60-YEAR-OLD NICHOLAS SOCKNAT WERE FOUND DEAD FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS IN THEIR HOME AT 2512 SOUTH MULBERRY.

DETECTIVES ARE AWAITING A DETERMINATION BY THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER, BUT EVIDENCE COLLECTED AT THE SCENE INDICATED THAT NICHOLAS SOCKNAT MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR KELLI SOCKNAT’S DEATH AND THAT HE DIED OF A SELF-INFLICTED GUNSHOT WOUND.
