SOUTH DAKOTA GOVERNOR KRISTI NOEM HAS FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST OFFICIALS IN THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION OVER THEIR CANCELLATION OF THE MOUNT RUSHMORE FIREWORKS CELEBRATION SET FOR THE 4TH OF JULY.
THE LAWSUIT WAS FILED IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT OF SOUTH DAKOTA’S CENTRAL DIVISION.
NOEM SAYS MOUNT RUSHMORE IS THE VERY BEST PLACE TO CELEBRATE AMERICA’S BIRTHDAY.
SHE SAYS THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION HAS NOT RESPONDED TO HER REQUEST TO UPHOLD THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN SOUTH DAKOTA AND THE NATIONAL PARKS SERVICE TO HOST A SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE NATIONAL CELEBRATION AND FIREWORKS SHOW.
THE STATE IS ASKING THE COURT TO ENJOIN THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR’S DENIAL OF THE FIREWORKS PERMIT AND ORDER IT TO ISSUE A PERMIT FOR THE EVENT EXPEDITIOUSLY.
