IT’S BEEN A YEAR SINCE UNITYPOINT ST.LUKE’S HOSPITAL IN SIOUX CITY ADMITTED THEIR FIRST PATIENT TO BE TREATED FOR COVID-19.

THE HEALTH CENTER IS REFLECTING ON THE PAST YEAR IN A VARIETY OF WAYS.

ELIAS SAMANO IS THE CHAPLAINCY DIRECTOR AT UNITYPOINT AND SAYS IT HAS BEEN A YEAR OF DEALING WITH NEW CHALLENGES:

UNITYPOINT ST. LUKE’S IS ALSO MARKING ONE YEAR OF THE PANDEMIC WITH A DISPLAY OF FLOWERS IN THE CHAPEL, AS WELL AS YARD SIGNS ON PIERCE STREET AND LUMINARIES NEAR THE NORTH ENTRANCE PAYING TRIBUTE TO BOTH THE PATIENTS WHO HAVE RECOVERED FROM COVID AND THOSE WHO WERE LOST TO THE CORONAVIRUS.
