PUBLIC ONLINE MEETINGS SET FOR GORDON DRIVE VIADUCT PROJECT

THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HAS SCHEDULED AN ONLINE MEETING TO RECEIVE PUBLIC INPUT FOR THE PROPOSED GORDON DRIVE VIADUCT AND BACON CREEK CONDUIT PROJECT.

THAT PROJECT INCLUDES EVENTUAL REPLACEMENT OF THE GORDON DRIVE VIADUCT AND BACON CREEK CONDUIT AND EXTENDS ON GORDON DRIVE FROM RUSTIN STREET TO VIRGINIA STREET.

THE PROJECT IS NOT IN THE DOT’S CURRENT FIVE-YEAR PROGRAM WITH PLANNING AND DESIGN SCHEDULED TO BE COMPLETED BY MID SEPTEMBER OF 2026.

THE FIRST MEETING IS AT 5:30PM ON APRIL 27TH.

THERE WILL ALSO BE AN “AT YOUR OWN PACE” ONLINE PRESENTATION FROM APRIL 27TH THROUGH MAY 10TH WHERE YOU MAY CLICK ON A SELF-GUIDED TOUR OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT AND SUBMIT COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS.
