YANKTON POLICE HOPE TO SOLVE TAMMY HAAS MURDER CASE

THE YANKTON POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE FBI AND OTHER AREA LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HELD A JOINT NEWS CONFERENCE TUESDAY REGARDING A REWARD FOR INFORMATION TO HELP SOLVE A NEARLY 30-YEAR-OLD COLD CASE.

THE BODY OF 19-YEAR-OLD TAMMY HAAS OF YANKTON WAS FOUND IN A RAVINE NEAR THE CROFTON GOLF COURSE IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA ABOUT A WEEK AFTER SHE DISAPPEARED IN SEPTEMBER OF 1992.

YANKTON POLICE COMMANDER TODD BRANDT SAYS TUESDAY WOULD HAVE BEEN TAMMY’S 48TH BIRTHDAY.:

BRANDT SAYS SOME RECENT ACTIVITY INDICATED THERE MAY BE SOMEONE THAT HAS MORE INFORMATION

A REWARD OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS IS NOW BEING OFFERED FOR RELIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT HER DEATH.

FBI MINNEAPOLIS SPECIAL AGENT MICHAEL PAUL SAYS THEY WANT TO GIVE THE HAAS FAMILY SOME CLOSURE:

PAUL SAYS THEY BELIEVE SOMEONE IS CARRYING THE BURDEN OF KNOWING WHAT HAPPENED.

THE FBI SHOWED A PHOTO OF WHAT HAAS WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE ON HER BIRTHDAY TUESDAY.
