OVER 2200 MORNINGSIDE CUSTOMERS OF MIDAMERICAN ENERGY LOST POWER AROUND 12:45PM WEDNESDAY.

A COMPANY SPOKESMAN SAYS THE OUTAGE WAS CAUSED BY A BROKEN INSULATOR ON AN OVERHEAD LINE NEAR SOUTH ALICE AND BUSHNELL.

AN AREA FROM MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE TO SOUTH OF GLENN AVENUE NEAR THE HILLCREST SHOPPING CENTER WAS AFFECTED.

THE COMPANY HOPED TO HAVE POWER RESTORED TO EVERYONE BY 2:30PM.
