FORMER SIOUX CITY COUNCILMAN AARON ROCHESTER PLEADED GUILTY LAST FRIDAY TO FEDERAL CHARGES RELATED TO HIS FORMER ELECTRONICS RECYCLING BUSINESS.

ROCHESTER PLEADED GUILTY IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT TO UNLAWFUL STORAGE OF HAZARDOUS WASTE AND UNLAWFUL TRANSPORTATION OF HAZARDOUS WASTE.

THE CHARGES STEMMED FROM ALLEGATIONS INVOLVING HIS FORMER BUSINESS CALLED “RECYCLETRONICS”.

THAT BUSINESS WAS CLOSED IN 2017 BY ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORS.

ROCHESTER FACES UP TO FIVE YEARS IN PRISON ON EACH COUNT.

THE JUDGE IN THE CASE HAS NOT SET A SENTENCING DATE.
