SOUTH DAKOTA ATTORNEY GENERAL JASON RAVNSBORG HAS JOINED 20 OTHER STATE ATTORNEYS GENERAL, LED BY MONTANA AND TEXAS, IN FILING SUIT IN U.S. DISTRICT COURT TO BLOCK PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN’S ATTEMPT TO CANCEL THE KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE.

PRESIDENT BIDEN REVOKED THE PERMIT VIA EXECUTIVE ORDER HOURS AFTER RECITING HIS OATH OF OFFICE.

THE LAWSUIT CONTENDS THE PRESIDENT DID NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DO SO AND HAS VIOLATED THE CONSTITUTION.

CONGRESS APPROVED THE PROJECT IN THE 2011 TEMPORARY PAYROLL TAX CUT CONTINUATION ACT.

NEBRASKA IS AMONG THE OTHER STATES JOINING IN THE LAWSUIT. IOWA HAS NOT.
