Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place at the state capitol building in Des Moines on Sunday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol and the Division of Criminal Investigation were called to the Capitol and found a victim with a gunshot wound.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
Authorities say there is no on-going threat to the public, but are not releasing any other information at this time.
