LOW TURNOUT FOR COUNCIL PRIMARY (Update)

IT HAS BEEN A LIGHT VOTER TURNOUT SO FAR FOR SIOUX CITY’S COUNCIL PRIMARY ELECTION.

AS OF 4:30 THIS AFTERNOON, 1409 VOTERS HAD CAST BALLOTS FOR ONE CANDIDATE FOR A SEAT ON THE COUNCIL.
ANOTHER 1984 ABSENTEE BALLOTS HAD BEEN RECEIVED FOR A TOTAL VOTE OF 3393.

THAT’S JUST 8 PER CENT OF SIOUX CITY’S REGISTERED VOTERS.

SIOUX CITY RESIDENTS ARE VOTING FOR ONE OF FIVE PEOPLE ON THE BALLOT, INCLUDING INCUMBENT RHONDA CAPRON, ROSARIO PEREZ JR., MICHAEL BAYALA, JULIE SCHOENHERR AND MICHAEL O’CONNOR,

THE POLLS ARE OPEN UNTIL 8PM TODAY IN THE ELECTION WHERE THE TOP TWO FINISHERS QUALIFY FOR THE NOVEMBER 5TH GENERAL ELECTION.

AS OF 11:30 THIS MORNING ONLY 502 VOTERS HAD CAST BALLOTS FOR ONE CANDIDATE FOR A SEAT ON THE COUNCIL.

SIOUX CITY RESIDENTS ARE VOTING FOR ONE OF FIVE PEOPLE ON THE BALLOT, INCLUDING INCUMBENT RHONDA CAPRON, ROSARIO PEREZ JR., MICHAEL BAYALA, JULIE SCHOENHERR AND MICHAEL O’CONNOR,
