Woodbury County authorities have identified the victim of a fatal canoe accident Monday at Snyder’s Bend Lake.
The county sheriff’s office says the body of 70-year-old Ronald Cooper of Sgt. Bluff was recovered from the lake around noon Tuesday.
Cooper’s empty canoe was found floating on the lake Monday evening.
The state medical examiner has not released the cause of Cooper’s death and the investigation of the incident is continuing.
