Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has signed a disaster declaration to aid the response to flooding and damage across the state from recent storms since June 1st.

The declaration allows the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency to direct the appropriate allocation of state resources to help affected communities.

The declaration includes Dakota, Thurston and all counties affected in Nebraska.

Ricketts surveyed flooded areas with the Nebraska National Guard on Tuesday.
