NORFOLK MAN CHARGED WITH TERRORISM & CHILD NEGLECT

A NORFOLK, NEBRASKA MAN IS IN CUSTODY FACING CHARGES AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY THREATENED TO HARM SEVERAL EMPLOYEES AT A LOCAL BUSINESS IN THAT CITY.

NORFOLK POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE BUSINESS AROUND 1 P.M. MONDAY FOR A DISTURBANCE BETWEEN STORE EMPLOYEES AND 30-YEAR-OLD RAMON HORNE.

SEVERAL WITNESSES TOLD POLICE HORNE WAS UPSET AND THREATENED TO STAB AT LEAST FOUR OF THE EMPLOYEES.

HORNE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR TERRORISTIC THREATS, BUT NO KNIFE WAS FOUND.

AS HORNE WAS BEING TAKEN TO JAIL, POLICE LEARNED HE LEFT HIS 14 MONTH OLD CHILD UNATTENDED IN HIS VEHICLE ABOUT A HALF BLOCK AWAY FROM THE BUSINESS.

POLICE RETURNED TO THE UNLOCKED, RUNNING VEHICLE AND STAYED WITH THE CHILD UNTIL A RELATIVE WAS ABLE TO COME GET THE INFANT.

HORNE WAS THEN ALSO CHARGED WITH CHILD NEGLECT.

HE IS BEING HELD IN THE MADISON COUNTY JAIL
