The University of South Dakota football team is the winner of the Sports Illustrated “Play of the Year.”
The Coyotes were recognized for their Hail Mary play that helped them beat state rival South Dakota State University, 23-20.
The team was one of four finalists up for the honor.
Head Coach Bob Nielson and QB Carson Camp were on hand Tuesday night to accept the honor during the Second Annual Sports Illustrated Awards in Florida.
