TWO TEENS HURT IN DENISON HEAD ON CRASH OF PICKUPS

TWO TEENAGERS WERE INJURED IN A FIERY HEAD-ON COLLISION OF THEIR PICKUP TRUCKS IN THE DENISON HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT AROUND 10:45 FRIDAY NIGHT.

THE IOWA STATE PATROL SAYS THE VEHICLES WERE TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED WHEN THEY COLLIDED, WITH ONE TRUCK STARTING ON FIRE.

THE DRIVER OF THAT TRUCK, 17-YEAR-OLD AUGUST BOETTGER OF ARION, IOWA, WAS SAFELY REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE AND TAKEN BY A PERSONAL VEHICLE TO CRAWFORD COUNTY HOSPITAL.

THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER PICKUP, 16-YEAR-OLD EDUARDO GUTIERREZ OF DENISON, WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED AND TAKEN BY HELICOPTER TO A UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER,
