A SIOUX CITY MAN WHO AUTHORITIES SAY WAS AN ARMED DRUG DEALER HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO EIGHT AND A HALF YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON.

34-YEAR-OLD GREGORY SEWALSON RECEIVED THE PRISON TERM AFTER HIS GUILTY PLEA TO ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AS A FELON.

PROSECUTORS SAY WHEN OFFICERS EXECUTED SEARCH AND ARREST WARRANTS FOR SEWALSON IN 2019, HE WAS IN HIS BASEMENT APARTMENT HIDING HIS GUN IN A CEILING TILE AND SCATTERING MORE THAN 65 GRAMS OF PURE METH THROUGHOUT HIS APARTMENT.

SEWALSON IS BEING HELD IN THE UNITED STATES MARSHAL’S CUSTODY UNTIL HE CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO A FEDERAL PRISON.
