The second seeded Iowa Hawkeyes came up short in second round action at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis on Monday.

The Hawks lost to the 7th seeded Oregon Ducks 95-80.

All-American Luca Garza scored 36 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Joe Wieskamp added 17., but those were the only points the Hawkeyes got from their starters as Oregon’s guard court dominated the game.

Oregon took control with a 10-0 run to close the opening half then blew the game open in the second half.

The Hawkeyes end the season with a record of 22 wins and 9 losses.
