MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE HAS ONCE AGAIN QUALIFIED FOR THE NAIA WOMEN’S NATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN SIOUX CITY.

THE MUSTANGS ARE SEEDED 5TH IN THE 16 TEAM FIELD AND WILL PLAY 12TH SEEDED ST. FRANCIS OF ILLINOIS THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT 8PM AT THE TYSON EVENTS CENTER ON THE SECOND NIGHT OF THE OPENING ROUND.

IT’S THE RECORD 23RD YEAR SIOUX CITY HAS HOSTED THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT WHICH WAS HALTED BY THE PANDEMIC AFTER SIX GAMES LAST YEAR.

TOURNAMENT CO-DIRECTOR COREY WESTRA IS LOOKING FORWARD TO EXTENDING THAT RECORD RUN THIS WEEK:

TOP SEEDED THOMAS MORE OF KENTUCKY PLAYS AGAINST #16 MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE OF OHIO IN THE TOURNAMENT’S FIRST GAME AT 1PM THURSDAY.

THAT’S FOLLOWED BY NUMBER 9 DAKOTA STATE AGAINST #8 STERLING KANSAS AT 3PM.

CONCORDIA NEBRASKA FROM THE GPAC WHO WON THE 2019 TOURNEY IS SEEDED 13TH AND PLAYS 4TH SEED MARIAN, INDIANA AT 6PM FRIDAY.

CLARKE COLLEGE FROM DUBUQUE, IOWA IS 7TH SEEDED AND TAKES ON TENTH SEEDED MIDAMERICA NAZARENE OF KANSAS AT 8PM THURSDAY.
