Governor Kristi Noem is showing her disappointment in the passage of two ballot measures that legalized marijuana in South Dakota.

Noem spoke out Thursday, saying voters had made “the wrong choice for South Dakota’s communities.”

She says the measures will make the state government larger and increase public safety costs.

One measure legalized the recreational use of marijuana, while the other allowed medical marijuana use.
