NAIA LIMITS ATTENDANCE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS

NAIA IS LIMITING ACCESS TO THIS WEEK’S WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN SIOUX CITY.

THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS (NAIA) SAYS CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS LED TO THIS DECISION TO LIMIT FAN ATTENDANCE.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO TEAMS, ESSENTIAL STAFF AND CREDENTIALED PERSONNEL ONLY.

TEAMS WILL BE PROVIDED AN ALLOTMENT OF WRISTBANDS EACH DAY TO THEIR RESPECTIVE GAMES.

NAIA PRESIDENT AND CEO JIM CARR SAYS, “WE KNOW THIS IS DISAPPOINTING TO PARTICIPATING STUDENT-ATHLETES AND FANS, BUT THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF ALL THOSE INVOLVED WITH OUT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT IS OUT TOP PRIORITY.”

PURCHASED TICKETS WILL BE REFUNDED.
