Discarded smoking materials are blamed on a house fire late Tuesday afternoon on the city’s west side.
Sioux City Fire Rescue says that fire at 1408 Main Street caused minor damage to the two-story, single family home.
The two occupants safely exited the structure prior to fire department arrival.
The structure was red-tagged by the city.
