A Sioux City attorney will serve 15 days in jail after pleading no contest to charges of leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.
Thomas Farrens was charged in the April 4th accident where he allegedly struck two pedestrians and sideswiped a vehicle at 18th and Grandview as he drove home.
After the accident police say Farrens abandoned his car in Grandview Park and walked to his house.
One of the victims, 53 year old Dean Williams, suffered a brain hemorrhage and pulmonary contusion.
The other, 29 year old Ryan Hogue, was treated and released.
Farrens will begin serving his sentence December 29th.
The judge is delaying the start of Farrens jail term because Farrens has children and the judge wants him to have time with his family during the Christmas holiday.
Farrens was also fined $625-dollars and given 2 years probation.
