Opening statements will take place Wednesday morning in the first degree murder trial of a Sioux City man.
47-year-old Elias Wanatee is charged in the February 17th stabbing death of 50 year old Vernon Mace.
Sioux City Police say Wanatee and Mace got into an argument at Mace’s daughter’s house and Wanatee allegedly stabbed Mace six times.
Mace later died at a hospital.
Attorneys in the case spent all day Tuesday selecting a jury to hear the case.
The trial will begin at 9am.
