SIOUX CITY WOMAN CHARGED WITH ARSON (UPDATE)

A SIOUX CITY WOMAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH ARSON FOR ALLEGEDLY STARTING A HOUSE FIRE THAT HAS LEFT TWO FAMILIES HOMELESS.

29 YEAR OLD ADASA TAFOLLA IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE ARSON, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AND ASSAULTING AN OFFICER.

INVESTIGATORS ALLEGE THAT TAFOLA STARTED THE FIRE IN THE BASEMENT APARTMENT AT 417 MAIN STREET AROUND 2PM FRIDAY.

TWO JUVENILES WERE IN THE APARTMENT WITH HER AND THREE OTHER PEOPLE WERE HOME UPSTAIRS.

EVERYONE ESCAPED THE FIRE WITHOUT INJURY.

TAFOLLA IS BEING HELD IN THE WOODBURY COUNTY JAIL ON $51-THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND.

A HOUSE FIRE FRIDAY AFTERNOON ON SIOUX CITY’S WEST SIDE HAS LEFT TWO FAMILIES HOMELESS.

FIRE RESCUE PERSONNEL RESPONDED TO THE BLAZE IN THE 400 BLOCK OF MAIN STREET JUST BEFORE 3PM.

ALL OF THE OCCUPANTS ESCAPED SAFELY AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

THE SIOUXLAND RED CROSS IS ASSISTING THE VICTIMS.

THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
