A Le Mars man is facing criminal charges following a brief pursuit Sunday afternoon.
A Plymouth County Deputy attempted a traffic stop after clocking a vehicle speeding at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone on county road K49 near 250th Street around 4pm.
The vehicle pulled into a rural farm residence and the driver fled on foot.
That suspect, 31 year old Steven Loutsch, was found and arrested about a quarter of a mile from where he left his vehicle.
Loutsch is charged with interference with official acts, speeding and driving while revoked.
He was booked on $1,000 bond.
