A new trial date has been set for a Sioux City man charged with the stabbing death of another man last February.
47-year-old Elias Wanatee will stand trial December 6th for first degree murder in the February 17th death of 50 year old Vernon Mace.
Police say Wanatee and Mace were in an argument at Mace’s daughter’s house and Wanatee stabbed Mace six times.
Mace later died at a hospital.
Wanatee remains held in the Woodbury County Jail on $800-thousand dollars bond.
