Sioux City residents will have another opportunity to dispose of expired prescription drugs this Saturday from 10am until 2pm.
Captain Rex Mueller of the Sioux City Police Department says they are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration on the 12th opportunity in six years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of unwanted prescription drugs:

Last April, Americans nationwide turned in over 893,000 pounds of prescription drugs at almost 5,400 sites operated by the DEA and more than 4,200 of its state and local law enforcement partners.

If you can’t make Saturday’s event, the police department has a drop box in their front lobby at 6th and Douglas.
