SIOUX CITY’S VETERAN’S ADMINISTRATION OUTPATIENT CLINIC IS MOVING TO SOUTH DAKOTA.

DARWIN GOODSPEED, DIRECTOR OF THE SIOUX FALLS VA CLINIC, MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT AT A MEETING AT THE SIOUXLAND RED CROSS TUESDAY EVENING.

GOODSPEED SAYS A NEW 25,000 SQUARE FOOT CLINIC WILL BE BUILT IN DAKOTA DUNES TO REPLACE THE CURRENT CLINIC LOCATED IN THE INDIAN HILLS SHOPPING CENTER.

IT’S DESIGNED TO SERVE 7,000 VETERANS A MONTH.
THE CURRENT SIOUX CITY CLINIC WAS BUILT TO SERVE 1,500 VETERANS BUT NOW HELPS 4,000.

THE NEW BUILDING WILL COST BETWEEN $3 AND $5 MILLION DOLLARS, BUT THERE’S NO TIMETABLE FOR ITS COMPLETION.

THE CLINIC SERVES VETERANS IN WOODBURY, PLYMOUTH AND CHEROKEE COUNTIES IN IOWA; DAKOTA AND DIXON COUNTIES IN NEBRASKA; AND CLAY AND UNION COUNTIES IN SOUTH DAKOTA.
