Area Congressmen are speaking out against NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem.
The 49ers quarterback has sat or has taken a knee while the anthem has been played in protest of what he says is the oppression of blacks and other minorities.
Iowa Congressman Steve King says in an interview with Newsmax TV that Kaepernick is taking advantage of his stage as a national sports figure with “activism that is sympathetic to ISIS.”:
OC……..sympathetic to ISIS. :16
The 4th District Republican says if he were Kaepernick’s coach, he would quickly resolve the issue:
OC………..on this field again. ;08
Nebraska 3rd District Republican Adrian Smith says he’s disappointed in Kaepernick’s action since the quarterback is a role model for so many people:
OC………appreciate America. :21
Smith says he feels America is divided because of the failed policies of the Obama Administration and that the president has himself contributed to that division:
OC………..most recently. :21
Smith says the least that he or anyone else should do is stand and show respect for their country when the national anthem is performed.
