THE END OF SUMMER HAS BROUGHT AN END TO THE LEEDS SWIMMING POOL.

THE POOL CLOSED PERMANENTLY WITH THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR AND CITY PARKS DIRECTOR MATT SALVATORE SAYS THE POOL WILL SOON BE REMOVED:

OC…….THE POOL GONE. ;09

THE COOK PARK POOL ON THE CITY’S WESTSIDE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE CLOSED, BUT A CITIZEN’S GROUP ASKED FOR A STAY SO THEY COULD RAISE FUNDS TO KEEP IT OPEN NEXT YEAR.

SALVATORE SAYS THERE HAVE BEEN NO RECENT DEVELOPMENTS THERE:

OC……….WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. ;13

SALVATORE SAYS IF THE PRIVATE FUNDS DON’T COME THROUGH THEN THE POOL WOULD LIKELY BE CLOSED.
