Working as an intern is a great way for a young person to get their start with a local company.

But some businesses have questions about how to hire them or deal with them.

Michael Billings of Sioux City Go says those questions will be answered at the inaugural Intern Connect event on Thursday, September 29th:

OC…..firms doing. ;11

Kory Menken, Director of Workforce Solutions for the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce says the event will help employers strengthen ties with area colleges to attract and maintain young people in the local workforce:

Terry Murrell, President of Western Iowa Tech Community College, says the intern experience will provide additional benefits for students as well as employers:

The free event includes a light breakfast and will be held from 7:30-9:00 a.m. on the campus of Western Iowa Tech Community College in the Rocklin Conference Center off parking lot 2.

Employers can register for the event at the Sioux City Go website.
