THE SOUTH SIOUX CITY COUNCIL HAS APPROVED PURSUING A PROJECT TO USE THE MISSOURI RIVER TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY FOR THE CITY.

THE COUNCIL VOTED 6-0 TO APPLY FOR A $290-THOUSAND DOLLAR ENVIRONMENTAL GRANT TO PLACE SIX ANCHORED TURBINES IN THE MISSOURI RIVER.
