Plymouth County is looking for volunteers to serve on its drug court panel.

The program began in 2006 and is a collaborative effort led by District Judge Jeffrey Neary.

Judge Neary serves as the supervising judge to whom drug court panelists, comprised of three volunteers will make recommendations about the outcomes of adult and juvenile defendants that appear before them.

The drug court is held one night per week, every other week from 5 to 7:30 pm. at the Plymouth County Law Enforcement Center.

Volunteers will be given training and provided dinner for each evening session for which they appear to hear cases.

Training for volunteers is planned for November 30th.

Those interested in obtaining more information should contact Drug Court Officer Joshua Knaack at (712) 224-6837 or stop by the Plymouth County Courthouse.
