A Sioux City teenager sentenced to ten years in prison for the 2015 drug related death of a Sioux City high school student has had the remainder of her sentence suspended.
Judge Patrick Tott reconsidered the sentence of 19 year old Rose Mouw in Woodbury County District Court Wednesday afternoon.
Mouw pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and delivery of a controlled substance in a spring plea agreement.
She had admitted to selling synthetic marijuana, known as K-2, to Austin McCloud, who was a senior at West High School.
McCloud died in April of 2015 after smoking the drug.
Mouw will also serve four years probation as part of her reduced sentence.
