PARKS BOARD HOPES RV PROJECT WILL MOVE FORWARD

Sioux City’s Parks Board has approved and forwarded a proposal to create a nearly three million dollar RV campground near Riverside:

City Parks and Recreation director Matt Salvatore says the campground proposal includes parking for 52 recreational vehicles for a two week maximum stay with two picnic shelters, two shower facilities and a playground:

Salvatore says while the project has been allocated some dollars in the city’s Capital Improvements Budget, more fundraising will have to take place to make it a reality:

The Railroad Museum will be the RV park’s neighbor, and spokesman Matt Birk says the museum will work with the city is helping the project become a reality:
