MOTORCYCLE RIDERS ARE MAKING THE TREK BACK HOME FROM WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA FOLLOWING THE CONCLUSION OF THIS YEAR’S STURGIS RALLY.

THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS THERE WERE FEWER ARRESTS, ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES COMPARED TO LAST YEAR’S RALLY, BUT OFFICERS WROTE MORE TICKETS.

THREE PEOPLE DIED IN ACCIDENTS THIS YEAR, FAR BELOW LAST YEAR’S TOTAL OF 15.

THERE WERE ALSO 50 ACCIDENTS INVOLVING INJURY, COMPARED TO 124 IN 2015.

OFFICERS WROTE JUST OVER 200 MORE TICKETS THAN LAST YEAR AND ISSUED 1000 MORE WARNINGS TO DRIVERS.
