South Dakota law enforcement are writing more tickets but arresting fewer people at this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in the Black Hills.
A total of 616 citations had been written as of Tuesday morning, compared to 515 a year ago.
Around 450 more warnings had also been issued.
Officers have made 66 D-U-I arrests at the rally, down from 83 last year at this time; along with 21 felony drug arrests compared to 31 in 2015.
Accidents involving injuries and fatalities are also way down with just one fatality and 19 injuries to cyclists.
Last year at this time there were 9 fatalities and 48 injury accidents.
The Sturgis Rally runs through Sunday.
