TWO ARRESTED ON CAR BURGLARY CHARGES

TWO SIOUX CITY MEN ARE FACING CHARGES AFTER BEING ARRESTED FOR A STRING OF CAR BURGLARIES ON THE CITY’S WESTSIDE EARLY THIS (MONDAY) MORNING.

18 YEAR OLD NICHOLAS BLACKBURN AND 19 YEAR OLD ANTHONY HABEGER ARE EACH CHARGED WITH 3 COUNTS OF THIRD DEGREE BURGLARY, 5TH DEGREE THEFT AND POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS.

POLICE SAY THE TWO MEN ADMITTED GETTING INTO SEVERAL VEHICLES BETWEEN 2200 ALLAN STREET AND 1600 WEST 29TH STREET, NEAR WHERE THEY WERE ARRESTED.

THE SUSPECTS WERE IN POSSESSION OF SEVERAL CREDIT CARDS AND CHECKBOOKS UNDER DIFFERENT NAMES AND ELECTRONICS ITEMS WHEN THEY WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY, AS WELL AS OTHER PROPERTY THE TWO MEN TOLD POLICE CAME FROM PRIOR BURGLARIES.
BLACKBURN AND HABEGER ARE BEING HELD ON $2000 DOLLARS BOND IN THE WOODBURY COUNTY JAIL.
