WOODBURY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTY DOUG BOETGER SAYS THE JUVENILE WAS ARRESTED THURSDAY AFTER THEY RECEIVED A TIP:
DEPUTIES FOUND A RIFLE, A HANDGUN AND AMMUNITION IN THE VEHICLE IN THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT. THE GUNS WERE NOT LOADED.
THE JUVENILE WAS CHARGED WITH POSSESSING FIREARMS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY..A CLASS D FELONY. HE REMAINS IN CUSTODY AT WOODBURY COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION.
Fire has damaged a barn on a farm near Paullina. Firefighters from Paullina, Cleghorn and Meriden were called to a barn that was engulfed in flames late Thursday afternoon.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and officials did not immediately report what damage had been done by the fire.
