Police in North Sioux City have released the name of a young woman found dead Monday in a friend's apartment.
Authorities continue investigating the death of 26-year-old April Simmons of Clear Lake.
Police Chief Jody Frye says Simmons had suffered head trauma but authorities did not immediately determine if that was the cause of death.
An autopsy is being conducted. Frye says suicide has been ruled out.
He also says police do not think there is any threat to the general public.
Authorities say Simmons was visiting a male friend who reported finding the body after returning home from work.
